IIT Kanpur Alumni Association celebrates Golden Jubilee of the Institute with an Innovation Convention in Bangalore June 19 to 20, 2010. This is one of the four alumni conventions held across the world between August 2009 and December 2010.
The initial festive event was held on 8 August 2009 at Kanpur. The first alumni convention was held at IIT Kanpur during January 2-4, 2010 focusing on R & D. This was followed by President of India’s visit to the institute in February 2010. The Prime Minister of India will be visiting IIT Kanpur for the Golden Jubilee convocation in July 2010. The Bangalore event is the first major convention outside IITK campus, and will be followed by the U.S. east coast and later on the U.S. West Coast. The timing of these alumni conferences are:
Bangalore, India on June 19 to 20, 2010
East Coast, Washington DC, USA on July 9-11, 2010, and
West Coast, Bay Area, USA on July 16-18, 2010.
